My name is Ana Maria Hartenbach and I am a St. Louis artist. I have been a professional oil painter since 1995.

I started out painting portraits when I graduated from Kansas University majoring in Painting. Since that time, I have expanded my painting to include abstracts, landscapes, illustration and large-scale murals. My artwork can be found in many private and public collections across the country.

The majority of my works are commissioned oil paintings. Often my clients hire me to paint something that they have been envisioning for a long time. I consider my commissioned work to be a joint project with my clients. Inviting my clients to be part of the creative process, gives them a sense of ownership with the artwork before it’s even been created. In turn, I create a painting that I know my client will always enjoy as well as remember being a part of its creation.

I do not make a practice of advertised in newspapers or magazines. I have painted full time for nine years and depend solely on referrals from my clients.

It does not matter if I am working with a family, an interior designer or a large corporation, I make sure that everyone is completely satisfied with my work and my professionalism. I present each client with digital layouts of what their future artwork will look like as well as an agreement to its cost and due date. Not only do I create a beautiful work of art, I complete it in a timely manner and at the cost I promised.
